For students at universities and colleges in Ireland. Esmond reads your final year project, dissertation, essay or assignment and shows, passage by passage, what a supervisor or examiner might question. Esmond evaluates your work. It never writes it.
See how Esmond worksA language check looks at spelling, grammar and a smoother paragraph. Useful, but it tells you nothing about whether your argument holds. Esmond reads for substance, the layers a supervisor reads for:
You upload your draft as a PDF. Short documents come back within minutes; a full dissertation takes longer. You get two things back: your own document with comments in the margin, and a separate feedback report that sets out what to tackle first. Every upload starts with a free preview, and the price follows the length of your document and is shown before you pay. No subscription, no account.
Esmond evaluates your work and writes nothing for you. Each comment points to a passage, explains what a supervisor or examiner might question, and gives a direction for revising it. You decide what to change, and every sentence stays yours.
Esmond is preparing its launch in Ireland and is not taking orders here yet. This page explains what the review does, so you know what to expect when it opens.
Every review covers the whole text, but these pages go deeper into the chapters where students often lose the thread: dissertation structure, the literature review, the methodology chapter, the discussion chapter and how you use your references.
Writing a final year project or a master's dissertation? Those pages cover what changes at each level.
Stuck on one part? Start with your introduction, your research question, your findings or your conclusion. If your feedback keeps saying 'too descriptive', read about critical analysis. Over the limit? See what to cut. Just back from a meeting? Read how to work with supervisor feedback.
Esmond reads more than final year work. There are separate pages for an undergraduate dissertation, a capstone project, a research proposal, an essay, a module assignment, a lab report, a reflective report, a placement report, a systematic review and a PhD chapter.
What an examiner looks for differs per discipline. See the pages for business, nursing, law, psychology, education, computer science, engineering, social care and social work, history, English, economics and finance, sport science and health sciences.
Rules on AI are set per university, and often per module or assignment. Read what Irish universities say about AI before you upload, and check your own module handbook. If your institution asks you to, declare your AI use. Wondering where the legal line is? In Ireland, providing or advertising contract cheating services is a criminal offence: someone else doing your work. Feedback on text you wrote is something else.
Esmond reads your text through the lens of your discipline. It does not know your module, your marking criteria or your supervisor's preferences, and it is not built on Irish dissertations. Treat the feedback as a well-read second reader, and your supervisor and module handbook as the final word.
No. Esmond evaluates the text you wrote and points out where it is weaker and why. You write every sentence yourself.
No. Esmond gives no marks, grades or classification predictions. Your examiners assess your work; Esmond helps you see the weak spots before they do.
A PDF of up to about 125 pages: an essay, an assignment, a literature review, a research proposal, a final year project, a master's dissertation or a part of a PhD thesis.
Your original file and the extracted text are deleted once your feedback is ready. Your report and the annotated version stay available for 90 days and are then deleted automatically. What you upload is never used to train AI.
