A placement report has to do two things at once: show what you did in the organisation and show that you can think about it with what you learned in college. Esmond reads your report and shows where those two strands do not yet meet.
See how Esmond worksPlacement reports that disappoint tend to go one of two ways. Some read like a diary: week one I shadowed, week two I helped with the launch. Others describe the company in detail, copied in spirit from its website, and say little about the student's own role. What is usually asked for sits in between: your tasks, analysed with concepts from your modules, with evidence of what you learned.
You upload your draft as a PDF. Short documents come back within minutes; a full dissertation takes longer. You get two things back: your own document with comments in the margin, and a separate feedback report that sets out what to tackle first. Every upload starts with a free preview, and the price follows the length of your document and is shown before you pay. No subscription, no account.
Esmond evaluates your work and writes nothing for you. Each comment points to a passage, explains what a supervisor or examiner might question, and gives a direction for revising it. You decide what to change, and every sentence stays yours.

Placement reports often touch on internal figures, clients or plans. Check what your host organisation allows you to include before you write, and remove anything confidential before you upload. Esmond reads only the PDF you upload and does not share it.
Your original file and the extracted text are deleted once your feedback is ready. Your report and the annotated version stay available for 90 days and are then deleted automatically. What you upload is never used to train AI.
Yes. Choose 'placement report' in the intake. The review then expects first-person writing and practical experience, and does not look for a research chapter structure.
If it is a PDF, you can upload it, but logbooks are mostly records. Esmond is most useful on the analytical and reflective parts of the report.
