Assignments come in every shape: a business report, a case study, a policy brief, a research paper, a critical review. Esmond reads the one you wrote and shows where it does not yet do what its type and its brief ask for.
See how Esmond worksA report is read differently from an essay. A report usually needs findings that a reader can act on, with recommendations that follow from the analysis. A case study needs you to apply a framework to the case rather than describe the case and the framework side by side. A research paper needs a question, a method and results that answer it.
Students often lose ground on the format rather than the content: an excellent analysis in the body of a report, followed by recommendations that appear from nowhere. Esmond reads for that link.
You upload your draft as a PDF. Short documents come back within minutes; a full dissertation takes longer. You get two things back: your own document with comments in the margin, and a separate feedback report that sets out what to tackle first. Every upload starts with a free preview, and the price follows the length of your document and is shown before you pay. No subscription, no account.
Esmond evaluates your work and writes nothing for you. Each comment points to a passage, explains what a supervisor or examiner might question, and gives a direction for revising it. You decide what to change, and every sentence stays yours.

If you upload a group report, Esmond reads it as one document. That is useful for spotting where sections written by different people do not connect: repeated content, changing terms, or a conclusion that ignores one of the chapters. Agree with your group before you upload a shared document.
Only if it is in your PDF. If you include the brief on the first page, the review reads your work against it. It does not know your marking rubric.
